South Africa
Starting at Ballito, north coast, east side Durban, road trip to Cape Town, and back. One of the highlights of South African travel. The time of year I did it was between march and april, but a better time is around July. But both times have their advantages. March april is the suniest time of the year no matter where youare on the coast, the water is so warm all the way down to Port Elizabeth. But people are a bit knackered after a long summer of surfing, beach, and every activity under the sun.
June July, the trip is a bit different, its very wet in cape town, but perfect weather to go wine tasting, sight seeing, its cold wet, and really looks lie the most southrn point in africa, with rough seas and wild skys. but as you travel north the sun starting coming out and your energy levels start to rise and you get happy for no reason. The sea on the travel north has a special occasion, sardines travel north this time of year followed by thousands of birds, dolphines, whales, and sharks. But thats no reason not to surf, just maybe say away from Traskei waters at rivr mouths during this time of year.
